TERMS & Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all services (“Services”) provided by 50Hz Home Services (“we”, “us”, “our”) to you (“Client”, “you”, “your”). By engaging our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Contract of Engagement

2.1 By engaging 50Hz Home Services to perform Services, you agree to these Terms.
2.2 You warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

3. Quotes, Acceptance & Variation

3.1 All quotes provided are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
3.2 Acceptance of a quote occurs when you confirm in writing (email or signed quote) that you wish to proceed with the Services.
3.3 Any variation to the scope of Services must be agreed in writing and may affect the price and timing.

4. Deposit & Payments

4.1 A deposit of 20% of the quoted amount is required before any work commences. Materials costs (if applicable) must also be paid upfront prior to scheduling work.
4.2 Full payment of all invoices must be made within 7 days of the due date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4.3 Payment must be made by bank transfer, card, cash, or other methods as agreed.
4.4 If payment is not received by the due date, we may suspend Services until payment is made. We may also charge interest on overdue amounts at a rate of 0.1% per day from the due date.

5. Warranty & Liability

5.1 50Hz Home Services warrants workmanship for 90 days from completion, covering labour only. Any product or part used carries the manufacturer’s warranty if applicable.
5.2 You must notify us in writing within 7 days of any defect or issue.
5.3 Subject to consumer rights under Australian Consumer Law, we are not liable for indirect, special, or consequential losses.
5.4 To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to repair, replacement, or refund at our discretion.

6. Access & Site Conditions

6.1 You must provide safe access to the work area, including clear space and adequate protection for belongings.
6.2 You must inform us of any hazards, concealed services, pets, or site-specific requirements prior to commencement.
6.3 We are not responsible for damage to hidden services (e.g., concealed wiring) not reasonably identifiable prior to work commencing.

7. Cancellation

7.1 If you cancel the Services more than 48 hours before scheduled start, any deposit paid may be refunded less administration costs.
7.2 Cancellation within 48 hours of the scheduled start may result in forfeiture of the deposit.
7.3 We may cancel or reschedule Services due to unforeseen circumstances, and will notify you promptly.

8. Materials & Ownership

8.1 Materials supplied by us remain our property until full payment is received.
8.2 If you fail to pay as agreed, we may retain ownership of materials and recover costs for removal or storage.

9. Consumer Law

These Terms do not affect your statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to remedies for major failures and compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

10. Privacy

We collect and use your personal information to deliver Services and may share this with third-party service providers where necessary. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of WA courts.
